Depleted Davitts Put It Up To Lynch's

After defeat against Banagher the next league outing for the Davitts was against Kevin Lynch’s at Foreglen. A seriously depleted Swatragh line up took the field missing ten regulars for various reasons. However, the side that took the field put in a tremendously committed display against a very strong Dungiven line up. Swatragh were well in contention for long periods of the game and it was only in the closing stages that the north Derry men managed to pull away.

It was an excellent performance from the understrength Davitts, and it will certainly give manager Kevin McNaughton plenty of selection dilemmas for the next match. Their were excellent performances all over the field but particularily from Eugene McGuckin and Stephen O'Kane in defence and Declan McGuckin in attack.
