Davitts Fade Badly After Promising Start.

On Easter Monday the senior hurlers travelled to Banagher to take on the reigning county champions in the league. Swatragh had much the better of the opening exchanges and put the opening two scores on the board. However their early dominance began to fade and a Banagher goal just before half time left the home side in front at the interval.

Banagher continued to dominate in the second half, the hectic Easter program appearing to catch up with the Davitts. With legs tiring all over the field, Banagher were able to stretch away to a comfortable victory. Swatragh were thankful for some great defending form the outstanding Cathal McQuillan in keeping the Banagher attack at bay.
