Comical Defending Hands Match On A Plate

In the first half of this match the Davitts played some of their best hurling of the season. However some comical defending in the Davitt defence allowed Slaughtneil in for two extremely soft goals to give them a slender half time advantage.

This was tough luck on the Swatragh forwards who had played some excellent stuff in the opening period. The played the ball around extremely well and regularly found the man in space to get the scores.

At the beginning of the second half Swatragh started well again and regained the lead once more, but in a mirror image of the first half, yet more calamitous defending allowed the Emmetts in for more goals which left the Davitts with no change of claming victory.

Swatragh will need to improve their defending greatly in games to come if the want to start claiming victories, and with the Championship on the horizon they will have to make changes sooner rather than later.
