Davitts Edged Out

Swatragh recently hosted Dungiven in the senior hurling league. Both sides contributed to an entertaining encounter with Dungiven eventually earning victory. This was a good performance from the Swatragh side and but for a couple of unlucky breaks could well have snatched victory.

The first half was evenly matched and Swatragh went in at the interval leading by a point. However with the breeze increasing in the second half Dungiven pounced for two opportunist goals that ultimately proved to be the difference between the sides.

Swatragh battled well for the reminder of the game, but could never get back within touching distance. It was another decent performance from the Davits who have improved in recent weeks, but will need to improve further to make an impact in the Championship.
