Leading by eight points at one stage in the first, Swatragh were grateful for a late Cathal McQuillan equalizer in this Davitt Park encounter.

Swatragh played some great stuff in the opening period and two excellent goals by Ruairi Convery capped off some fine approach play. With a couple of minutes remaining in the half the Davitts led 2-04 to 0-02.

However, Swatragh conceded the last two scores of the half and the first seven points of the second to find themselves staring defeat in the face. It was a terrible capitulation, but at least they managed to salvage a draw.
