Swatragh 0-09 Glenullin 0-11

Swatragh suffered yet another narrow defeat in the senior football league. The sides were level at half time at 0-06 apiece but Glenullin were a little more clinical in front of goal in the second half to claim the two points.

The Davitts got of to their now customary sluggish start and after 15 minutes were 0-05 to 0-02 behind. However with Marty Quinn taking over at the back and Michael Conway getting a foothold at midfield Swatragh got back on level terms by the half. During this period there were tremendous scores from Robert McWilliams (2), Sean McNicholl and Michael Kirkpatrick.

The second half started evenly with both teams going point for point and entering the final quarter the scores were tied at 0-08 each. However as the Davitts poured forward in search of victory Glenullin exploited the spaces in the Swatragh backline to nick a couple of crucial scores to claim victory.
