Swatragh 0-11 Craigbane 0-11

For the second week in succession Swatragh squandered a half time lead to once again share the spoils. This time the lead was only two points, but they inability to win when in front was most disappointing.

Swatragh played some decent football in the opening half with the entire full forward line of Michael Kirkpatrick, Martin Dillon & Sean McNicholl all getting on the score sheet. However some wayward play kept Craigbane in touch and the Davitts only led by two points at the interval.

The loss of experienced midfielder Michael Conway with a serious leg injury early in the second half seemed to seriously disrupt the Davitts, as they failed to maintain the control they had at this juncture.

When Conway was forced to leave the field Swatragh had stretched their half time lead by a further point, but once again with time running out, they found themselves a point behind. This time it was Michael Kirkpatrick who rescued a point for the Davitts.

Swatragh will be unhappy at having to settle for a share of the spoils but as with the previous week a disappointing draw is certainly much better than defeat.
