Bellaghy 0-13 Swatragh 0-12

Swatragh almost defied the odds in this closely contested game at Oliver Plunkett Park, reenlough, a late chance of an equalising point spurned as Bellaghy held on for a one point win and a place in the knock out stages.
Bellaghy looked to be in control when after two Convery points had put Swatragh 0-02 to 0-01 ahead after six minutes, they hit four unanswered points from Kieron McNally, Kevin Doherty, Joe Diver and Ronan Rocks to take a 0-05 to 0-02 lead by the 21st minute. Eoghan Brown.
However Swatragh fought back to cut the advantage to 0-06 to 0-05 at half time, Michael Kirkpatrick then putting them 0-07 to 0-06 ahead six minutes into the second half, the Davitt’s also spurning a goal chance in this period.
Bellaghy came back with a brace of Eoghan Brown points but corner back Seamus Bradley tied the scores at 0-08 each midway through the half.
Again the Tones edged ahead, 0-11 to 0-08, but Kirkpatrick cut the lead to the minimum with two points, Joe Diver and Eoghan Brown again to the fore before Kirkpatrick pointed four minutes from time.
In a tense final period Swatragh had a chance to tie the scores but tried to win the game with a goal, but failed, and Bellaghy stayed in the championship!
